Roman Butym is a Ukrainian photographer living in Krakow, Poland (was born in 1986).
Roman engages in artistic and reportage photography.
In 2001, when he first picked up a Skina 35mm film camera, photography became a part of his life.
His works of photo project “Validity Period” have been showcased at festivals, published in photography magazines, and nominated for international awards, including:
Nomination in the 8th edition of the Fine Art Photography Awards, London 2021.
Publications in The Eye of Photography Magazine and Instagram World Press Photo.
Exhibition of the project Validity Period at the DOM Gallery in Riga 2024.
Roman is also working on the long-term photographic project "Movement", which has been ongoing for more than three years, and also searches for incredible moments of storytelling photography, also working for other shorts photo projects.
